Functions

When you write about functions, you should: 

  • Use all caps to refer to function names, for example, Sales.Gross Sales[SELECT:TIME.’Current Period’].
  • Precede a code sample with an introductory sentence or paragraph to set the context.
  • Use two spaces to indent code, rather than tabs.
  • Avoid using function names as verbs or nouns.

Note: When you refer to a function name in technical documentation, use the </> option in the CMS to apply the monospace code font style. The screenshot below shows where to find that tool on the text formatting bar:
